Charles Aaron "Bubba" Smith (February 28, 1945 – August 3, 2011) spent nine seasons in the NFL as a defensive end. He was the first overall selection in the 1967 NFL draft, chosen by the Baltimore Colts. The Colts won Super Bowl V at the end of the 1970 season. He began his acting career in the late 1970s and is perhaps best known for his role as Moses Hightower in the Police Academy movie series. (Ad from YouTube post.)

The Ravens defeated the Chiefs 30-7 to advance to face the Steelers in Pittsburgh in an AFC semifinal game on Saturday, January 15th. The AFC North division champ Steelers beat the wildcard Ravens to move on to host the AFC Championship game against the New York Jets on January 23rd.
